3 Years of Success & Struggles

Perfectly Sorted has turned three, and I pondered on what that looked like. So, upon searching for the milestones of turning three, I found the following.

“Talks well enough for strangers to understand most of the time, can work toys with buttons, levers, and moving parts, turns door handles, loves dress ups, builds towers of more than six blocks, may get upset with major changes in routine, climbs well, runs easily, walks up and down stairs, shows affection for friends without prompting.”

This describes much of what we do at Perfectly Sorted! From ‘dressing up’ our wonderful client’s homes, to working with our version of ‘toys’ – beautiful homewares and décor – and climbing up and down our warehouse stairs in search of the perfect piece of furniture, we’ve navigated all major milestones. So, now we are looking forward to adulthood in years to come.

I’m not always a number person, however with 1,095 days in business, 4,600 moving boxes packed, 285 properties staged, six vehicles, nine staff, a warehouse with 58 beds, 35 sofas, 14 dining tables, over 290 dining chairs, countless pillows and seven sausage dogs (amongst our team), it’s no surprise we have been busy.

Our team has worked on projects in Mudgee, Gulgong, Scone, Dubbo, Narromine, Newcastle, Paddington, Double Bay, Armidale, Wellington, Rylstone, Coolah, Willoughby, Randwick, Narrabri, Moree and Orange. Distance is no deterrent, and we are thrilled that so many communities and clients have benefitted from Perfectly Sorted’s services.

The past 18 months have been challenging, with Covid-19 on one side, and managing the many moving parts of our business on the other. We have faced these hurdles head on, have been creative when needed, and our resilience and customer-service focus keep us going.

With Perfectly Sorted HOME, our dedicated retail space, and Perfectly Sorted PERSONALISED, our custom blinds, curtains, upholstery, sofas, and bedhead offering, we are fulfilling our dream of making lives simpler and homes beautiful. On reflection, it’s been an exciting time to be in business in Regional NSW, with all the local growth and opportunities it affords us. The success of Perfectly Sorted is directly related to the passionate team who share my vision as much as I do: Sheri, Meg, Jenny, Leigh, Scott, Tennille, Ken and Jordan, and our most recent addition, Maddie. We are grateful for the additional help from our casual uni and school students during the holidays. Who knew a 16-year-old schoolboy had such an eye for style!!

Thanks to our clients, friends, agents and local businesses who support Perfectly Sorted and believe in what we do.

Thanks must also go to my patient family: my children Tom and Zara, and most importantly my husband Sam.

No parties this year… though this does not stop us from celebrating! Happy 3rd Birthday!

Now for the milestones of a four-year-old!

Yours Perfectly,
