Embrace 2022 with the Dulux Colour Forecast.

If this year has left you feeling a bit flat, it’s time to start planning for 2022, and what better way than revitalising your home with the latest colour trends? Enter the Dulux 2022 Colour Forecast. With three palettes to pick from, there’s inspiration for everyone.

Fancy a ‘Flourish’? Full of rich jewel tones, warm neutrals and pops of vintage gold, the Flourish palette is for those who are adventurous and bold. Or are you looking to create a calm, welcoming home? Then the Restore palette might be for you, with its gentle earth-based neutrals like clay, rich forest green and buttercream. And for the young at heart, there’s the Wonder palette full of whimsical 80s-inspired bright and summery colours like lemon, green quartz and rose gold.

Here are some tips to embracing these new palettes in your home.

1. Paint your front door. Welcome your guests with the rose gold from the Wonder palette or a gorgeous desert red, à la Flourish. If neutrals are your thing, the calming buttercream or rich forest green from the Restore palette will create a beautiful calming entryway.

2. Keep it simple. Using colour trends to update your home can be a fun way to freshen things up, but it can be expensive to completely redesign your abode every time a new trend comes along! Start small and simple, by adding accessories you can swap out, such as throw blankets, candles, wall art or pillows.

3. Mix and match. Use a neutral and a bright colour from your chosen palette to create the perfect blend. Neutrals are great options for painting walls, as they’ll never go out of style. Adding a pop of bright colour to items like kitchen stools, pillows or rugs will create interest, without the commitment!
